WHO WE ARE

 St Andrew’s Community Action Group (SACAG) is a Northern Ireland (NI) registered company limited by guarantee with charitable status (The Company) Company No. NI611879; Charity Numbers (HMRC) XT33924, (Charities Commission for NI) 103735

  SACAG was formed as a voluntary group in 2008 and is closely associated with St Andrew’s Church Glencairn (The Church). It became a registered company in March 2012 and was recognised by HMRC as a charity in May 2012 and by the Charity Commissioners Northern Ireland in February 2016.

 The Church is jointly a parish church in the Anglican Diocese of Connor (Church of Ireland), and a church in the Shankill Circuit of the Methodist Church in Ireland. It is situated in outer urban Belfast in the Glencairn estate. The pastoral area of The Church is the Glencairn Estate (in Glencairn Ward), and some neighbouring streets. The Church was formed as a Local Ecumenical Project in 1968 and achieved Parish status in 1982. The Church building was opened in 1971 and the adjoining parish hall in 1985.
